How to Get Coffee Stains Out of Carpets: Step by Step
Once you have your stain remover prepared, you’re ready to tackle those coffee stains on your carpet using the following steps:
- To get coffee stains out of carpet, first wet the stain with warm water. This will loosen the dried coffee granules making it easier to blot them up. Note: Make sure not to use too much warm water at a time, as this will cause the stain to seep outwards.
- Afterwards, lightly blot the stain with a dry cloth. Repeat these steps until no more coffee is being removed.
- Grab yourself two clean, dry cloths. Start by blotting the stain with the appropriate stain remover, using one of the cloths.
- Once the stain is wet with the solution, blot it with the other dry cloth.
- Repeat blotting the stain with the stain remover, and then with the dry cloth as needed.
- The last step to get coffee stains out of carpet is to wash the carpet with cold water by blotting it generously using a clean cloth. Do not rub the carpet. Leave the area to air dry, and avoid walking on it for several hours, if possible.
