Once you have your stain remover prepared, you’re ready to tackle those coffee stains on your carpet using the following steps:

  1. To get coffee stains out of carpet, first wet the stain with warm water. This will loosen the dried coffee granules making it easier to blot them up. Note: Make sure not to use too much warm water at a time, as this will cause the stain to seep outwards.
  2. Afterwards, lightly blot the stain with a dry cloth. Repeat these steps until no more coffee is being removed.
  3. Grab yourself two clean, dry cloths. Start by blotting the stain with the appropriate stain remover, using one of the cloths.
  4. Once the stain is wet with the solution, blot it with the other dry cloth.
  5. Repeat blotting the stain with the stain remover, and then with the dry cloth as needed.
  6. The last step to get coffee stains out of carpet is to wash the carpet with cold water by blotting it generously using a clean cloth. Do not rub the carpet. Leave the area to air dry, and avoid walking on it for several hours, if possible.
