A spritz cocktail is the perfect summer beverage for all kinds of hot days — whether you’re having a party, a picnic, or hanging out on the beach.

Pro Tip: For best results, make sure to chill all the ingredients you can before creating your spritz. This is especially important for prosecco/sparkling wine, alcohol, and mixers like soda water.

1. White Wine Spritz

Ingredients 

  • 3 oz semi-dry white wine such as a Riesling 
  • 2 oz prosecco
  • 1 oz soda water 
  • Lemon and lime wedges, berries, and mint for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a wine glass with ice, add white wine, prosecco, and soda water. Gently stir to combine.
  2. Garnish with lemon, lime, berries, or mint if you like. 

2. Strawberry Aperol Spritz

If you're a fan of the classic aperol spritz and want to try something slightly different, just add a twist with muddle strawberries in the cocktail. This add slightly sweet and fruity notes to this Italian classic.

Ingredients

  • 3 strawberries
  • 3 oz prosecco 
  • 2 oz Aperol
  • 1 oz soda water 
  • 1 mint sprig

Instructions

  1. In a cocktail shaker or glass, muddle the sliced strawberries. 
  2. Prepare a wine or rocks glass with ice. Pour muddles of strawberries into glass, then top with prosecco, Aperol, and a splash of soda water. Stir gently to combine.
  3. Garnish with a mint sprig.

  • 1 oz Amaro Nonino  
  • 1 oz fresh orange juice 
  • 2 oz prosecco
  • 2 oz soda water, plus a splash to muddle the peaches with

  • ½ oz. St. Germain
  • 4-6 mint leaves
  • 4 oz. dry sparkling wine or prosecco
  • 2 oz. soda water 
  • Lemon wedge for garnish 

Instructions

  1. In a wine glass, gently muddle the mint leaves and St. Germain. Let sit for a few minutes to release the flavors and aromas. 
  2. Add ice, sparkling wine, and sparkling water. Gently stir to combine and garnish with a lemon wedge.

This spritz uses one of Italy's most famous amaros, campari, and creates a flavorful, but slightly bitter cocktail.

Ingredients 

  • 1.5 oz Campari
  • 3 oz prosecco or dry sparkling wine
  • 1 oz. soda water, plus a splash to muddle the rosemary with
  • 3 rosemary sprigs
  • 3 lime slices

Instructions

  1. In a wine or rocks glass, muddle two rosemary sprigs and one lime slice with a splash of sparkling water.
  2. Add ice, then top with campari, sparkling wine, and sparkling water. Gently stir to combine.
  3. Garnish with remaining lime slices and rosemary sprig. 

7. Non-Alcoholic Watermelon Spritz

  • 6-8 watermelon cubes
  • 6-8 mint leaves 
  • 1-2 limes, freshly squeezed for juice
  • 3 oz soda water
  • Mint sprig for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a wine glass, muddle watermelon cubes, mint leaves, and limes juice. 
  2. Add a scoop of ice to glass, then top with soda water. Stir gently.
  3. Garnish with mint sprig.

  • 8 raspberries
  • 6 pineapple chunks
  • Squeeze of fresh lemon juice
  • 3 oz dry rosé 
  • 1 oz aperol
  • 2 oz soda water
  • Simple syrup (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a wine glass, muddle raspberries and pineapple with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice. 
  2. Add ice, rosé, aperol, and soda water. Gently stir to combine. 
  3. Taste spritz and add small amounts of simple syrup for sweetness if desired. 

For a Non-Alcoholic Fruity Rosé Spritz: Substitute Aperol and dry rosé with a non-alcoholic sparkling beverage like seltzer water or alcohol-free sparkling rosé (like Welch’s Sparkling Rosé from Amazon**).
