It's Girl Scout cookie time again and vegans don't need to miss out as there are now six vegan Girl Scout cookies to choose from. Read on to learn more.

Girl Scouts is a youth organization for girls in the United States, formed in 1912, which encourages character building, good citizenship, and outdoor survival skills. They sell Girl Scout cookies to their community, between January and April each year, for a period of six to eight weeks depending on the area. The proceeds go to the local Girl Scout Troop, individual troops can then choose to invest their earnings in new camping equipment, building maintenance, or planning future activities for the girls, for example.

Girl Scout Cookies are unique boxed cookies, which are sold door to door, online, at local fundraisers, or at “cookie booths” in front of supermarkets and stores. Not only do Girl Scouts help their troop by selling cookies, but they also learn some soft skills along the way such as problem-solving, creative thinking, leadership, and teamwork. Some Girl Scout troops reward their participants by providing prizes for the girls with the most sales, making them motivated to try to sell more cookies.

Below, we’ll share the six vegan Girl Scout cookies that are available for 2023. While the ingredients in these cookies are vegan-friendly, it’s important to note that all Girl Scout cookies are made in shared facilities that handle milk products, therefore none of the vegan Girl Scout cookies are officially endorsed by V-Label USA or the Certified Vegan logo.

Girl Scout cookies are manufactured by ABC Bakers and Little Brownie Bakers, the cookies available to you will depend on your location. You can contact your local Girl Scout troop to find out where they are selling cookies and which vegan Girl Scout cookies they are selling.
