- Use the cotton ball to gently rub the glitter off your skin and repeat until you are satisfied all the glitter is gone. Tip: don’t apply too much pressure.

Note: Whether using cotton balls or disposable paper towels, always throw them safely in the trash afterwards, and try to avoid any glitter being washed down your drains. These tiny, shiny flecks are pure plastic, meaning glitter is not good for the environment.

- Shake or comb out as much glitter out of your hair as you can. It would be good to do this over some old newspaper so you can collect the glitter as it falls out, then bundle up the paper and dispose of it without creating even more of a mess.
- Massage your coconut oil into your hair and scalp thoroughly for at least a couple of minutes to loosen up any remaining glitter pieces still in your hair.
- Let the oil sit for 10-15 minutes before shampooing your hair in warm water afterward. Repeat the process if needed, but if you were able to shake out most of the glitter in that first step, there shouldn’t be a need to rinse and repeat.

- Lay your clothing item out flat on an even surface, a large some tape and sticky side down, apply firmly to your clothing.
- Gently and slowly lift off the tape so as to not stretch or even rip your clothes or fabric and you will see that the glitter is now stuck to the tape.
- Repeat this as necessary to remove all the glitter thoroughly.
Note: You may opt for a more user-friendly lint roller for the same result. But depending on how much glitter you are dealing with, one lint roller might not be enough for the task, as the roller will quickly lose its sticky properties.
