12 Vegan Clothing Brands That Are Also Eco-Friendly

Not all vegan clothing brands are necessarily cruelty-free at all stages of production. Luckily for you, we have compiled a list of the most eco-friendly, ethically produced, sustainably made, and stylish brands available in the USA today.

Many brands sell vegan clothing, but where and what you buy still makes a big difference. Synthetic fibers, for example, are free of animal fibers, but generally bad for the environment: they are usually based on petroleum and may produce microplastics in your washing machine, that end up in rivers and oceans. Vegan clothing based on natural fibers like cotton or recycled materials is usually the better option. Truly sustainable vegan brands will also look out for ethical working conditions along their production chain. Don’t know where to start looking? Here are 12 vegan clothing brands to check out.

Tip: Manufacturing needs a lot of resources and energy. Secondhand clothing does not use up any extra resources at all – plus it’s usually very cheap! So if you are on a budget, check out our guide on “6 Great Places to Buy and Sell Secondhand Clothes Online”
