How To Make 3 Ingredient No-Bake Cookies
Ingredients:
- ½ cup organic nut butter (we used peanut butter)
- ½ cup maple or agave syrup
- 1½ cup oats (make sure they are rolled oats, not quick oats)
How to Make 3 Ingredient No-Bake Cookies:
- In a saucepan, mix the nut butter with the syrup and heat on the stovetop until the mixture is warm.
- Add the oats and mix until combined.
- Scoop a tablespoon of dough at a time and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a parchment paper substitute. Press each spoonful of dough with your hand until achieving a cookie-like shape.
- Let your no-bake cookies cool down until firm.
Servings: 12 cookies Prep time: 15 minutes Chill time: 1 hour
Storage:
You can store your cookies in a glass container for up to 4 weeks in the fridge. If you’d like to keep them for longer, you can make several batches at a time and freeze them for up to 2 months.
Notes:
While any nut butter works for this recipe, we recommend using a locally-sourced nut butter when possible. Look out for products containing palm oil, a common ingredient in many nut butters, as palm oil is associated with mass deforestation. We also recommend using almonds and almond butter in moderation, as almond production uses large amounts of water.
3 Ingredient No-Bake Chocolate Cookies
If you are more of a chocolate person, you can substitute the same amount of nut butter for vegan chocolate (whether that is a chocolate bark or chocolate chips). If you’d like to make the ingredients yourself from scratch, you can also use homemade vegan Nutella instead of regular chocolate. You will need to melt it on the stovetop before adding the syrup, and then add the oats to the mixture.
