Ingredients:

  • 2 green plantains, peeled
  • 1 bottle vegetable oil, for frying
  • sea salt, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Thinly slice the plantain horizontally.
  2. In either a deep sauté pan or fryer, heat the oil to between 375F and 400F. Use a deep-fry thermometer to check the temperature. There should be enough oil to fully cover the plantains.

  5. Remove the chips from the oil and drain on paper towels.
  6. Sprinkle with salt and serve.
