Depending on where you live, you can buy them regionally and thereby further reduce the impact on the environment that your purchase has. Brussels sprouts are often cooked in the oven or even boiled, but you can also sauté them if you are short in time. We’re going to show you how to make pan fried brussels sprouts that are tender on the inside and caramelized on the outside – and that you can make quickly and easily!

  1. Remove the dry outer leaves from the brussels sprouts and cut them in half.
  2. Place them in a large skillet with a drizzle of olive oil, and fry them at medium heat for 5 minutes, until golden.
  3. Add all the seasonings, salt, and pepper, and mix until combined.
  4. Add the vegetable broth and cover with a lid. Let it cook for another 5-7 minutes, until the broth has evaporated.
  5. Serve your pan fried brussels sprouts, and enjoy!
