As reported by Reuters, Beyond Meat recently announced that its Beyond Burger would soon be available at participating Costco locations throughout Texas, Florida, and New York. As the demand for plant-based meat ramps up, this announcement comes just days after Costco began selling Nestle’s Awesome Burger.
The global plant-based market is expected to explode to an estimated $140 billion over the next decade, fueled by increasingly health-conscious consumers who want to cut down on eating meat and worry about the environmental impact of industrial animal farming.
This fall, Costco also began stocking the Better Than Beef burgers made by vegan meat producer Don Lee Farms, a former Beyond Meat supplier.
The Beyond Burgers will be sold in packs of eight for $14.99.
