- 3 carrots, shredded
- ¼ cup parsley, minced
- 3 tbsp. olive oil
Instructions:
- Cook the rice according to package instructions. Set aside to cool.
- In a large pot, add the olive oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the ground beef and cook until thoroughly cooked through. Remove from the heat and set aside to cool. Drain away any excess fat.
- To the large pot, add all the remaining ingredients. Mix until all ingredients are well combined.

Ingredients:
- 2 ½ lbs. ground beef
- 1 ½ cups brown rice, uncooked
- 1 (15-ounce) can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 ½ cups butternut squash, chopped
- 1 ½ cups carrot, diced
- ½ cup frozen peas
- 4 cups water
Instructions:
- Add all the ingredients to the slow cooker, set to a low setting.
- Cook the ingredients on low for five to six hours.
- Return to the slow cooker every one to two hours to stir the ingredients.

3. Chicken Jerky Strips
Ingredients:
- 3 to 4 boneless chicken strips
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 200°F.
- Trim the fat from the chicken breasts.
- Slice the chicken breasts into ⅛-inch strips.
- Place the chicken strips on a baking tray and bake for two hours, or until the chicken strips are hard and dry.
- Remove from the oven and let cool completely before serving to your dog.
