This doesn’t mean that all of these brands have zero impact on the environment, or that they all actively work towards a change in economy. However: non-binary folks might have issues finding suitable fashion in the gender-binary culture we still live in — these brands offer better alternatives than throwaway-fashion brands that pick up every little microtrend.

It’s important that, even when buying ethically sourced and/or regional products, we limit our consumption in order minimize the environmental impact our clothing has.
