State fairs are a quintessential part of American culture, and so are the fried foods that go along with them. Skip the crowds and learn how to make homemade funnel cake yourself using natural and organic ingredients.
You don’t need to wait for the summertime to enjoy the sweet, sugary scent of funnel cakes wafting through the air. They’re actually fairly simple to make at home yourself. Plus, you can control exactly what ingredients go into them, making them a slightly healthier alternative than the fairground favorite. Skip the deep fryer and fry your funnel cakes in a pan – this limits the oil that will be absorbed into the dough, resulting in fewer calories and less fat. Let’s take a look at how to make homemade funnel cake.
