How To Make Lemon & Ginger Water

So, now to making your own lemon and ginger water. This recipe is quick and easy and typically serves two. With the warmer months now upon us, you can opt to double the measurements and store your excess lemon and ginger water in the fridge as a cold refreshment later on.

You’ll need:

  • Fresh organic lemon
  • Fresh organic ginger
  • ¼ tsp. cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 1 tsp. honey (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Bring a kettle of water to a boil.
  2. Once boiled, pour the water into two large cups.
  3. Cut your lemon in two and juice each half, with each cup getting half of the lemon juice.
  4. Add some sliced ginger and just a dash of cayenne pepper for an extra pop of flavor.
  5. Add some honey as a natural sweetener if you prefer.
  6. Wait a few minutes for the lemon and ginger flavors to properly infuse.
  7. Let your water cool and then serve.

On a hot day, you might opt to add some ice blocks for an extra refreshing kick, or cool your lemon and ginger water in the fridge for at least 1 to 2 hours.
