Whether you’re trying to cut down on carbs or just want to try something new, these sweet and savory rice cake snack ideas are sure to do the trick.

  1. Homemade Hummus and Cucumber: Smear your favorite hummus across a couple of rice cakes and add some thinly sliced cucumbers to add some crunch to your lunch. You could also try making cauliflower hummus, or hummus without tahini if you aren’t a fan.
  2. Mashed Avocado: Next time you’re craving avocado toast, consider popping that mashed avo atop some rice cakes instead. Top it off with some salt and pepper, garlic powder, Tapatío sauce, and Tajín and you have a yummy snack.

  4. Pesto and Mozzarella: Whip up some homemade pesto to use as the base for your rice cakes.   1. Almond Butter and Berries: Take a plain or salted rice cake and smear it with almond butter or. You can also use a different nut butter of your choosing. Top it off with some raspberries, blackberries, or strawberries for a healthy treat.
  2. Peanut Butter and Banana: Put a spin on the classic peanut butter toast and put your favorite toppings on rice cakes instead. Sprinkle the peanut butter and banana with some cinnamon and nutmeg, or add some honey for extra sweetness. You can even use a vegan honey alternative to keep this recipe 100% cruelty-free. If you’re feeling creative, you could also try making your own homemade peanut butter.
  3. Cream Cheese and Honey: Spread your favorite classic shmear or vegan cashew cream cheese across a rice cake or two. Add a drizzle of honey for a quick and easy mini-dessert.
