How to Fry Tofu: Tasty & Crispy
Ingredients:
- 1 block firm or extra firm organic tofu or chickpea tofu
- ½ cup cornstarch or potato starch
- ¼ cup olive oil for frying
- ½ tsp. salt
Instructions:
- Press the tofu with a clean kitchen cloth to squeeze as much water out as possible.
- Dice the tofu into small, equal-sized cubes.
- In a large bowl, mix together the cornstarch and salt. Add the tofu and mix it carefully until all tofu cubes are covered in cornstarch.
- In a pan, add the olive oil and the tofu cubes and fry them at medium heat. With help from a spatula, flip the cubes every other minute to make sure all sides are equally golden (this is how to fry tofu effectively).
