If you are trying to find a way to incorporate more sustainable dishes into your daily routine, you’ve come to the right place. Trying to source organic, local, seasonal, and low-emissions ingredients can be difficult — but the end results are worth the struggle. Your food will taste so much better when you use the best ingredients.

For these oat milk pancakes, you can skip the eggs and problematic dairy products like butter and milk that are typically found in most pancake recipes. They are completely suitable for those that are lactose-intolerant, following a vegan diet, or simply wish to reduce their use of animal products.

  • 1½ cups wholewheat flour
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1½ tbsp baking powder
  • 2 tbsp raw organic sugar

  1. Add flour, salt, baking powder, and raw sugar to a large mixing bowl, and stir to combine.
  2. Pout in the wet ingredients, and stir until fully incorporated.
  3. Allow the batter to rest for at least 5 minutes in order to thicken.

  7. Serve with toppings of your choice.
